The Public Investment Fund (PIF) officially launched Expo 2030 Riyadh Company (ERC), a wholly owned entity tasked with developing, operating, and preserving the legacy of Saudi Arabia’s first World Expo, set to take place from October 1, 2030, to March 31, 2031.
ERC will be responsible for delivering all infrastructure and facilities for the global event, as well as overseeing the transformation of the Expo site post-event into a sustainable, multicultural urban district. The Expo site will cover 6 million square metres, making it largest ever for a World Expo.
Mutlaq Al-Ghowairi Contracting Company secures EPC contract
Mutlaq Al-Ghowairi Contracting Company announced that it has secured the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the Jubail-Buraidah Independent Water Transmission Pipeline Project.
The 587-km-long pipeline will have a transmission capacity of 650,000 cu m/day. The project also includes 6 strategic storage tanks at Al-Shamasiyah and 3 strategic storage tanks at Al-Jubail with a total storage capacity of 1,634,500 cubic meters.
Paragon Developments opens its first regional office in KSA
Egypt’s Paragon Developments inaugurated its first regional office in Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh province. Mohamed Bedeir, Chairman of Paragon Developments, commented that Paragon is set to deliver 360,000 sqm of mixed-use facilities in Saudi Arabia.
Bedeir Rizk, CEO of Paragon Developments, stated that Paragon is planning to develop and manage 200,000 sqm of office space by 2027, with a target of 500,000 sqm by 2030 across key cities like Riyadh and Jeddah.
New Saudi Arabia projects
Some of the new projects added to the SCAVO platform this month for Saudi Arabia include Abha Lakes in Asir, Fun City in Jizan, Global Village in Dammam, a Hospital in Jizan, and District 10 in Qiddiya City, among others.
