Bechtel and Parsons award US$7.2 Bn for Riyadh Airport Expansion 

In Saudi Arabia, two U.S.-based firms were awarded key contracts for the estimated US$ 7.2 Bn expansion of The King Salman International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As part of the announced agreement, Bechtel will manage the development of three terminals—a new terminal dedicated to commercial airlines, a new Terminal 6 and a third terminal for private aviation, which will include aircraft maintenance facilities. 

Parsons was awarded two four-year, delivery partner contracts developing critical airport infrastructure and providing comprehensive project management services. The firm will have responsibility for design, permitting, procurement, construction and commissioning from initial planning through to final handover.

Hyundai and PIF Launch first Hyundai facility in the region

Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Middle East (HMMME), a joint venture between PIF and Hyundai Motor Company, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the first manufacturing facility for Hyundai in the Middle East, in the recently announced King Salman Automotive Cluster within King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC). The manufacturing plant will have an annual production capacity of 50,000 vehicles with the first vehicle expected to be rolled out by the fourth quarter of 2026. The facility will manufacture both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles (EV).

WSP partners with Abdullah Alrajhi Holding for the Tower Project

WSP announced that it has partnered with Abdullah Alrajhi Holding to provide design competition management and project management services for the pre-construction phase of The Tower, which is expected to become an iconic high-rise, residential mixed-use development in Riyadh. The Tower will have residential, retail, office, hospitality and entertainment spaces, enriching the lives of its residents and the wider community.

Dar Wa Emaar Launches Saraya Al Sharq in Dammam

Dar Wa Emaar Real Estate Investment & Development Company announced the launch of its latest residential development -Saraya Al Sharq in Al-Wajeha destination, Dammam, in partnership with the NHC. The project valued at US$200 Mn and spanning over 410,000 square meters, the development offers 616 residential units.

NWC Develops 15 Wastewater Projects Worth US$613 Mn

The National Water Company (NWC) announced that it has started implementing 15 development projects costing more than US$613 Mn and serving more than 1.3 million beneficiaries as part of its strategic plans to improve the level of service and increase the operational efficiency of the wastewater sector. 

Among the projects that the company has started to implement is the construction of a sewage pipeline from the areas east of Haramain Road to Lift Station 2 at the airport, known as the Eastern Tunnel Project in Jeddah City.
