Egypt’s Mountain View for Real Estate Development and Investment has launched “Mountain View KSA,” in Saudi Arabia marking first step in its regional expansion plans. The company has partnered with Maya Real Estate Development and Investment Company and Al Saedan Real Estate Company to acquire its first plot of land in Riyadh.
India’s VA TECH WABAG announced that it was awarded a US$317 Mn Mega Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (‘SWRO’) Desalination Plant in Yanbu by Saudi Water Authority (SWA).
The EPCC contract covers design, engineering, supply, construction and commissioning of the 300 MLD Mega Desalination Plant which will be developed on a greenfield site and is scheduled to be completed within a 30-month period.
Nestlé announced plans for its first food manufacturing plant in Saudi Arabia with investment from the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (Modon). The US$72 Mn project will be established on a 117,000sq.m plot in Jeddah city’s Third Industrial City.
According to the latest updates from the SCAVO platform, contracts worth US$90 Bn were awarded to contractors in Saudi Arabia between January and August 2014. During the same period from January to August 2023, the value of projects awarded to contractors amounted to only US$56 Bn.
